Peter Bollard
Founder
Peter Bollard has over 30 years of experience in immigration law and was recognised as an Accredited Specialist in immigration law by the Law Society of New South Wales in 1976.
Peter is the founder of Peter Bollard and Associates. Though Peter fully retired in 2024, his philosophy of maintaining outstanding client relationships remains entrenched. Our team of lawyers and experts specializing in corporate and individual immigration matters are therefore firm advocates of not only delivering quality legal expertise, but also unparalleled customer service.
Peter has been revered as one of Australia’s leading migration lawyers, prolific writers and commentators whose expert opinion was regularly sought by his peers. He has been listed numerous times under the category of “Best Immigration Lawyers” published by the Australian Financial Review for handling an abundance of challenging and complicated immigration matters. This extends to assisting hundreds of clients with obtaining their Australian visas, as well as many businesses across several industries with obtaining employer sponsored visas for their foreign workers. Having regularly represented clients in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, Peter carries a wealth of knowledge and experience in handling health waiver cases and obtained favourable outcome for the clients.
Prior to retiring, Peter regularly authored articles on migration law and curated his own immigration law newsletter. Peter has presented countless seminars on migration law for the University of New South Wales, the Migration Institute of Australia, the Immigration Advice and Rights Centre, Migration Seminars Australia and other bodies. He is also a co-author of “The Immigration Kit” 8th Edition published by the Federation Press.

DR. Sirajul Haque
Principal
Dr Md Sirajul Haque is a distinguished legal professional with extensive academic and practical experience in legal profession, particularly in Australian immigration law. He earned his Bachelor of Laws with Honours (LLB) and Master of Laws (LLM) degrees from the University of Dhaka. Following his graduation, Dr. Haque practiced law in Bangladesh for several years, honing his skills and building a solid foundation in the legal profession.
After relocating to Australia in 1988, Dr Haque pursued and completed another Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the University of New South Wales in 1997. In the same year, he became a registered Migration Agent, marking the beginning of his long and successful career in Australia. Dr Haque was admitted as a member of the New South Wales Law Society in 2004. His commitment to furthering his legal education led him to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law from Western Sydney University (WSU).
Dr Haque is a highly skilled lawyer, particularly in immigration law, family law, commercial law, and property law. His expertise in these areas has made him a sought-after legal advisor and advocate. In addition to his practice, Dr Haque serves as an adjunct professor of law at Northern University of Bangladesh, contributing to the academic development of future legal professionals.

Leela R Selvarajah
Australian Immigration Lawyer and Consultant
Leela R Selvarajah obtained her degree of Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of London. After graduating, she worked in a London immigration law firm . In 1994, she was admitted to the English Bar through the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, United Kingdom.In 1996, she was called to the Malaysian Bar and admitted to the High Court of Malaysia as an advocate & solicitor. Throughout her practice in Malaysia, she primarily worked as a civil litigation lawyer and handled a wide range of corporate and family matters.
In 2011, she completed a post-graduate certificate in Migration Laws and Practice with the Australian National University and became a registered migration agent. With extensive experience in providing immigration advice and solutions in the highly specialised field of migration law, she has successfully guided hundreds of clients through their migration journey. As a trusted legal representative, she assists clients at every stage of the application process, including health, character, language, and other relevant assessment procedures such as skills assessment.
In 2019, she was admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia, where she continues to advocate for individuals and families navigating the complexities of Australian immigration law. With her strong litigation background, she has a proven ability to handle complex immigration matters , including visa cancellation cases, providing strategic representation and legal support to clients facing visa cancellations.
Leela is a proficiently quadrilingual lawyer and highly skilled in working with clients from diverse backgrounds. With legal experience across three different Commonwealth jurisdictions, she understands the complexities of cross-border legal matters. Ruslan (Ross) Ahmadzai

Ruslan (Ross) Ahmadzai is an Immigration Solicitor specialising in corporate, individual as well as business migration. Ross is passionate about Global mobility and has a wealth of experience in advising clients on audit and compliance as well as sponsorship obligations placed on Australian businesses employing foreign nationals. Having worked in several law firms including Fragomen, and the big Four (KPMG), Ross has worked with clients across different sectors including IT, Construction, Health, Media & Communications. He advises clients on all areas associated with Australian immigration law.
He is admitted to practice as a solicitor in the High Court of Australia.

Margaret Lim
Senior Registered Migration Agent
Margaret Lim is an established Senior Migration Agent based in Sydney, Australia. She attained a Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law & Practices from the Australian National University (MARN 1280757) in 2012 and has built over a decade of experience since, having solved highly complex migration matters alongside Peter Bollard and the team.
Margaret specialises in Employer Sponsored Visas (subclass 482/186), Partner Visas (subclass 820/801/309/100/300) and Global Talent Visas (subclass 858). Her professional work ethic and in-depth knowledge have driven her success in obtaining sponsorships for foreign employees, working with reputable Australian companies, and establishing a strong reputation for excellent client service. Her profession also extends to successfully applying for the removal of the ‘Further Stay’ condition (Condition 8503) and Health Waivers.
As an immigrant to Australia herself, Margaret began her journey as an overseas student where her experience fuelled her passion for helping overseas students find suitable pathways to enjoy the rich culture that Australia has to offer. Margaret volunteers her time in hosting migration seminars organised by the local church. Being fluent in many languages, she has been able to help many students comprehend the complex immigration process with her strong spoken and written command of English, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), as well as complementary fluency in other Chinese dialects of Hokkien and Hainanese.
Margaret also has qualifications within the business field as she holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Curtin University of Technology, Australia) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Surrey (UK). Upon graduating, she worked as a Marketing Manager in a Retail establishment both in Hong Kong and Singapore before taking on an Associate Director role for a Real Estate Enterprise in Singapore.

Sheikh Russel
Paralegal
Sheikh Russel completed his Diploma in Law from University of London and later, he obtained his Bachelor of Laws with Honours (LLB) form the University of South Wales, UK. After Graduation, Russel worked in a London based immigration law firm as legal adviser while studying for the Bar examinations. In 2021 he was called to the Bar of England and Wales through The Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn, United Kingdom.
In 2021, Russel was enrolled as a member of Dhaka Bar Association, Bangladesh to practice as an advocate in Bangladesh. During his practice in Bangladesh, he mainly worked in Criminal and Civil litigation and Company matters.
Currently, Russel is working at Peter Bollard & Associates under Dr Jason Donnelly as a paralegal. He is also waiting for his assessment by Legal Profession Assessment Boad (LPAB NSW) as an overseas qualified and practicing lawyer to become a registered lawyer/solicitor in Australia.
